Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark: A Local Experience, a National Role

By appointment of the Minister of Science, Research and Technology—who also serves as the President of the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO—Sajjad Ashgarf, Director of the Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark, has been appointed as an individual member of the National Committee on Geosciences and Geoparks within the Iranian National Commission for UNESCO.
