According to Qeshm Free Zone Media Centre, the closing ceremony of the 11th UNESCO Global Geoparks Conference was held in the presence of Chilean officials and senior representatives of the Global Geoparks Network. During the ceremony, Portugal was officially announced as the host of the 12th UNESCO Global Geoparks Conference.

The 11th UNESCO Global Geoparks Conference has commenced in Chile with the participation of leading scientific and executive figures of the Global Geoparks Network.
Members of Qeshm Island Photographers Association and Hormozgan Photographers Association have gathered at the legendary Stars Valley Geosite, setting up their tripods and cameras to capture every stage of the lunar eclipse.

According to Qeshm Free Zone Media Centre, local communities gathered in Zeynabi Village to mark the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples by sharing experiences, memories and traditional knowledge passed down through generations.
Dr Ebrahim Rostam Gurani, Director of Qeshm Island UNESCO Global Geopark, announced that the commemoration ceremony for the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples will be held on Monday, 11 August 2025, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Pasargad School Conference Hall in Zeynabi Village.
